What is a discount health insurance plan for self employed?
I know that certain trade organizations offer discount health insurance under group rates if you join. However, I am unaware of any groups for a person who is self employed as an expeditor–a person who works in the urban planning field filing cases. He pays a exhoribant monthy premium for his health insurance.

Your question is the reason the President is trying to get his health care package passed. Too many people either have no health insurance or are paying way to much of it.
My mom used blue cross for hers when she was self-employed, It was close to $200 month and her deductible was $5000. Not much good unless you get something serious, which she did. She died in 2001 so I am sure the price has went up by now.

You might look at a local Chamber of Commerce or similar organization like a business club for entrepreneurs. They sometimes have group plans.
