Should I apply this very generous coupon code for purchase?

I want to buy a pistol magazine online and I search for a discount coupon code. After I entered the code my total became zero. Is this for real? Will I get in trouble for getting almost 0.00 for free? How do I know this is legit and will I get in trouble if it isn’t?

!0 years ago when online shopping was just getting started, there were tons of coupon codes out there where I got things for free or next to free. It still happens.

Contact the company selling the item and ask if the coupon code is legit, and if they will honor it. Their web site should have their contact information on it. If it doesn’t, i would not be doing business with them.

The magazine is free if you enter the code? I wouldn’t worry about the legality, I would worry about giving them my name and address. It’s probably just shopping for a mailing list.

It’s not uncommon to get free subscriptions to a magazine to boost readership. They start charging you after the free period expires. Read the fine print.
