    Let the price of food be 100x
    19% discount , so you paid 81x

    19x = 97
    81x = ?

    81x/19x X 97 = 413.53 $ ANSWER

    CHECK YOUR ANSWER

    You paid 413.53 $
    Discount = 97 $
    Original price = 510.53 $

    19/100 X 510.53 = 97 $

    Your discount is 19% So you pay 81% of original price So original price = $97 x 100/81 = $119.75

    Discount = 97$ is nineteen percent

    Total * 0.19 = 97$ then Total = 97/0.19 = 510.53$

    check: 510.53*0.19 = 97$
